Head Start

Job Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the PFCE Manager.  Responsible for obtaining documentation,

data collection and tracking of completed child health screenings, and any follow-up needed on medical/

dental referrals. Responsible for specific compliance related job duties concerning social services, parent,

family, and community engagement. This includes the oversight of Partnership agreements, follow-up

documentation, related training, and other duties necessary to assure Head Start Performance Standards.


1. Minimum of Associate’s degree in Social Work or closely related field, such as sociology, psychology,

education, etc. or actively working toward appropriated degree from an accredited college or university.

2. An FSR must obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services,

counseling or a related field within 18 months of hire if they do not have at least an Associate’s degree.

3. One to three years’ experience in social services, children and family services, or clinical setting.

4. Experience in Head Start preferred but not mandatory.

5. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and liability insurance in employee’s name, pass

Physical, TB screening and OSBI background check with fingerprinting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1. The FSR skill set in maintaining effective and satisfactory working relationships with others intra-agency

And inter-agency is required

2. The FSR must have the ability to read, interpret, and implement program guidelines.

3. The FSR must handle confidential work with tact and discretion; interpret and make routine decisions in

accordance with agency policies; Use sound judgement and prudence in dealing with the public and in

following oral and written instructions.
