Job Summary
Provide Early Head Start infants, toddlers & preschoolers with appropriate learning experiences according to their individual ability and Infant /Toddler CDA or preschool CDA guidelines. Encourage and assist parents in becoming involved in their child’s education, development and progress. Provide relationship abased services, forming nurturing and supportive relationships with the children and their families. Is responsible for the care and education of children, functions as a team member with the Educator or Teacher.
Must be a mature person who works well with others. Work experience in caring for infants/toddlers is desirable; Infant Toddler CDA or Preschool CDA is highly preferred. Must maintain health status, which includes but is not limited to presenting self for work physical and initial TB screening, meeting immunization status and/or mitigation strategies as directed by ACF/OHS, HSPS, and/or company policy, etc. A current physical examination and TB screening are required at hire, and periodical physicals are required thereafter. Satisfactory FBI/OSBI check is required by Child Care Licensing and appropriate background checks as required by DHS, as is participation in the OUCECPD career ladder/professional development program.
